AP stands for Advanced Placement. They're classes juniors and seniors can take in highschool that are very difficult, lots of reading usually, covering tons of chapters. In early May AP students have the choice to take the AP final exam, which is the equivilant of a college final exam. (the class itself is basically like a college level class) The exams are scored on a 1-5, 1 and 2 aren't passing, and 3, 4, and 5 are. And then if you get a 3, 4, or 5 it is possible to get college credits for the class, how many depending on how well you do and which school you go to.
